Shower enclosures are no longer limited to glass framed with polished brass. From glass blocks to frameless glass shower enclosures, there are options to suit any space and style. If you’re looking to update the look and feel of your bathroom with a glass enclosure, consider one of these suggestions.A frameless glass shower enclosure is a popular option because it can suit any style. It can be sleek, clean and modern or more understated to blend with an elegant or classic look. These shower enclosures are relatively low maintenance, especially if you select a glass with a baked-on finish that repels soap scum and water spots.
The cons of a whole new shower enclosure include: Demo. Ugh! We have a newborn. This might be too much to undertake right now. Possibly unearthing plumbing issues. There’s always plumbing issues!! More expensive – since we would have to demo/fix plumbing plus the cost of the enclosure. Probably would test our DIY skills and patience. Even our marriage?! I like the idea of having a whole new shower pan and not having a shower that’s completely enclosed like our current situation. There’s so many beautiful options to choose from these days too, but realistically I don’t think it’s in our budget right now – nor do I particularly want to deal with what might turn up once we demo. Old house and all!
