I love my time in the shower, the hot water on my head and back relieves many aches and pains. However, my shower used to give me a beautiful even stream of water, but lately I have been getting a few drips, dribbles and random squirts which is just not enjoyable. You don’t need to buy a new shower head it just needs a good clean! Read further for tips on how to clean a shower head, removing the build up of mineral deposits which are clogging it up and affecting your water flow. Shower heads are prone to build up of mineral deposits, dust, dirt etc which affects the water pressure and spurts water out in all different directions. Cleaning the shower head in your regular bathroom cleaning routine will help prevent the build up.

Install a shower hose. Turn your shower head into a hand-held fixture by installing a shower hose. This will make it much easier to access hard to reach areas on your body and will come in handy when it comes time to clean your tub or shower. Use stone mosaic tile. Install stone mosaic tile on one or multiple walls in your shower enclosure to immediately draw the eye in and create a luxurious focal point. Use earthy tones in your stone tile and fill your bathroom with plenty of greenery to help bring nature indoors and create a soothing space.

Open or Enclosed? There are two options for building a larger, two-person shower: enclosed or open. Open showers have glass panels or glass block walls, for example, that run up to around the 7-foot mark, and then have the remaining space up to the ceiling open, thus venting steam. Alternatively you can build a completely enclosed shower, with the panels or block wall running all the way to the ceiling. Another option would be purchasing a pre-manufactured walk-in shower kit with its own pan and panels that will fit into the space you have in mind for the shower. As far as size goes, two of the most common sizes are 3-feet by 5-feet and 4-feet by 6-feet; there are no minimum requirements. It is whatever the couple in question feels comfortable with as far as space goes.

When done, simply remove the bag (careful not to get any vinegar on your or worse, in your eye), and dump down the drain. Yes, it will smell for a few minutes but shortly thereafter you’ll notice no smell. If you want to be super sassy, throw some baking soda down your drain before you dump out the vinegar and you’ve now also cleaned our your drain in the process (go you!). Let the shower head run hot water for a minute before getting in, you’ll marvel at your handiwork; it will run like new!
